Dear Friends,
The Louisiana Tech
Debate and Forensic Program welcomes all to the 2006 Hot
n Spicy Championships to be held
on a new date this year! This will be the
seventh annual hosting of the HNS and we hope to make it a special event for
everyone.
The tournament will
offer our favorite event. This will
include all three divisions of IPDA . We will be using the
5-2-6-2
format and the new adjusted ballots. The standard judges instruction sheets will
be provided to all judges.
We also plan to comply
with the MONTICELLO PLEDGE announced at the 2005 IPDA Tournament and
Convention.
Louisiana Tech will
limit our entries to avoid being judged by our own people. Tech entries will only be made to help
divisions make. For educational purposes, one
exception to this might be to allow a Tech Speech class to enter,
however EVERY attempt will be made to avoid being judged by Tech students.
As with last year, we
plan to run everyone out of the new Tolliver Hall student center located in the
middle of campus.
